Good ignition coils have:
- a good insulation over the 10 MOhm range between the housing and a primary coil pin
- a secondary coil winding resistance of 8.0 - 12.0 kOhm range for ZM engines, 7.2 - 10.8 kOhms for the FS and possibly the FP engines.
