After round 5 of the U.S. Chess Championship there was a rather unfortunate incident which happened after the game which resulted in Chief Arbiter Chris Bird expelling Grandmaster Christopher Yoo from the tournament after a gross violation of both the Saint Louis Chess Club’s code of conduct and the US Chess Safe Play policy.
Saint Louis Chess Club also banned Yoo from the club.
