Gather hair into a ponytail and hold it with your dominant hand. Using your non-dominant hand, pull the ponytail halfway through an elastic and stop. Insert your non-dominant hand through the elastic toward the front of your face. This will naturally create a half twist in the elastic.
Then, bring your hand back in the direction it came, making sure to sweep it under the existing ponytail and around.
Next, grab the base of the ponytail with your non-dominant hand as your dominant hand reaches over to pull the elastic (covered with hair) on top of it. Sweep the remaining tail to the back and tuck inside the elastic.
Shape bun, if necessary and pull out any face-framing pieces. ✨
