STORYLINE
Millions of Filipinos gathered in cemeteries across the country on Tuesday to celebrate All Saint's Day by paying their respects to the their deceased relatives.
Traditionally the day to remember the departed, the public holiday also gives families some much needed time together, with many enjoying picnics beside the graves of their loved ones.
Offering prayers, candles and flowers, a lot of people in this predominantly Christian nation still believe that praying for the souls of their loved ones will help those who died in the afterlife.
Some do it to ease their own suffering.
"That also gives me a chance to have some sort of release," said one woman.
