An apple a day may keep the doctor away, but when you turn your apples into treats with our quick and easy Apple Doughnut recipe, why not invite everyone around for a sweet party?
Ingredients:
4 – 6 Apples
1 cup Snowflake 5 in one sweet mix
375 ml Plain low fat yogurt
5 ml Cinnamon
250 ml Castor Sugar
Oil to deep fry
Method:
1. Peel, core and slice the apples into thick rounds. Each apple should give you about 3 – 4 rounds.
2. Mix Sweet mix and yogurt in a bowl.
3. Dip the apple into the batter and then deep-fry in hot oil (180 °C) until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towel.
4. Mix the cinnamon with the sugar and then coat the hot doughnuts with the sugar mixture.
5. Serve immediately.
