WestJet canceled the majority of its flights late on Friday, impacting 140 flights at five airports in Ontario and Quebec.

All flights scheduled to arrive and depart from Toronto Pearson airport starting at 9 a.m. are canceled until the end of the day on Friday, says the airline.

WestJet says it will consider when to restart flights on Saturday depending on the weather conditions.

All scheduled WestJet flights into and out of Vancouver’s airport from 11:50 p.m. on Thursday until late Friday are also canceled.

WestJet flights from Hamilton, London, Ottawa and Montreal are affected as well.

Pearson and other airports across the country are asking travelers to check on their flight status before heading to the airport.
