ENGLISH VERSION: Today's Bible Verse (06.10.2024):

VERSE:
...I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; (JOHN 14:16 KJV)

EXPLANATION:
I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today we will meditate on the promised verse, "...I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;" (John 14:16). Jesus Christ is a Comforter. He introduces us to another Comforter, the Holy Spirit.

God dwells within us. This is his first consolation. What does He do when He dwells in us? He pours out His love, perfect love, into us through the indwelling Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). Yes, He sits within us and makes us sit with His love. Scripture also says, '...he will joy over thee with singing." (Zephaniah 3:17)

What will the mother do to her little child? She sings lullabies out of love for her child. Thus, the Lord rejoices over us and sings of his great love in the number. Yes, our Lord loves us like a mother. "As one whom his mother comforteth,..." (Isaiah 66:13), "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God." (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) Scripture also says.

May the comfort of the Lord be with you today. He does so out of love for you. When we say that we do not know how to pray in the midst of tribulation, the Holy Spirit within you will pray for you. "...the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." (Romans 8:26) says the scriptures. He prays for you with great love for you. He helps you in your weaknesses. We have this comfort in God.

When we pray to God, He gives us comfort. When tribulation comes, turn to no one for comfort. Go to God. He will help you in your weakness. God has sent another helper to help us in all our troubles. May the Lord fill you with His love and Spirit today.

Many symbols of the Spirit are found in Scripture. Meditating on these symbols helps us to understand more and more deeply about the Spirit and to have a closer and nobler relationship with Him.

Apostle Paul wanted to know more about Christ. He said, "...I count all thingsbut loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus... (Philippians 3:8). The whole purpose of his life was to know Christ.

The least known of the Trinity is the Spirit. Some consider him a hidden figure in the Trinity. The Vedic scholars regard Him as such because He hesitated to speak of Himself and always glorified the Father and the Son. At the same time, if we read and meditate on the Bible, we can know the power, might, gifts, fruits, and characteristics of the Holy Spirit through the signs.

For example, whenever we think of God the Father, the image of a great eagle comes before our mind's eye. Whenever we think of Jesus Christ, the image of a lamb comes before our mind's eye. Similarly, many signs are mentioned in the scriptures about the Spirit. He is like a dove, like a fire, like a mighty wind, like a seal, like oil, like an achara in the scriptures.

So many comparisons are given to him so that we can understand him better. Take a diamond for example. It has many faces. A face alone does not make a diamond. The full beauty, excellence and beauty of a diamond can only be gauged when viewed as a whole. Similarly, only when you look at all the comparisons of the Spirit as a whole can you know the whole nature of the Spirit.

Beloved, don't just get to know the Spirit, but own Him personally. Move into a deeper experience with Him!
