Case description:
A 72-year-old patient came to our clinics with gradually developed blur of vision. The patient underwent bilateral cataract surgery in an external hospital 11 years ago with toric lens implantation.
The patient underwent also Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy 4 years ago.
The examination revealed that the visual symptoms were due to an opacified IOL in the left eye with the following refraction:
Pre-OP: 0.25 -1.75 / 116 VA: 0.4 (decimal).
Therefore, we decided to remove the opacified lens and to implant a new 3-piece spheric IOL in the sulcus with IOL capture technique.
Post-OP: 0.50 -2.00 / 128 VA: 1.0 (decimal).
Surgical technique:

3:06 IOL explantation
3:40 Residual cortex removal
5:16 CTR implantation
6:22 3-piece IOL implantation
6:48 Viscoelastic removal
7:28 Wounds closure
