Shakespeare used Kronborg when he wrote his immortal play about the King's son Hamlet. In play ‘Hamlet’, Shakespeare called Kronborg Castle ‘Elsinore’. This has become the English name for Helsingør, the town where we can visit Kronborg. So, today the castle is better known as Hamlet's Castle.
