Always There by Emma Marie Etwell
"Always There" is a poem written in the first person voice. We see the use of the word "I" through the poem to show this. The poet gives the dead person who is the poetic personae speaking to his/her loved ones a voice to put emphasis on the themes of the poem which are that' when we lose a loved one they are not completely gone, their soul is alive watching over us. Also that when we lose a loved one this will surely get better with us with time after their departure.
The poetic personae urges his/her loved one that "when you remember me, please do not weep" because his/her soul is there watching over them. He/she assures the loved one that "every minute, everyday, my love and soul are with you."
This poem is a comforting piece anyone who has just lost a loved one can pick on to find comfort in. Its so reassuring and comforting.
