HCC hosted a visit from the Director of the Terasem Movement, Bruce Duncan, who brought Bina 48, one of the most advanced social robots in the world. She was created using video interview transcripts from the real Bina, whose memories, thoughts and beliefs were collected and upload to a software called Mindware.
The program was sponsored by the Book Connection, a partnership between the college, the Howard County Library System and the Howard County Poetry and Literature Society.
