Chief Minister said that Janmabhoomi programme is a sacred one which enables everyone to serve the poor and their motherland and it is being implemented in 16,000 villages across the State.
He termed Janmabhoomi as a bigger festival than Sankranti. “Welfare of the people is our priority. Sankranti Kanuka, Ramjan Tofa, Christmas Kanuka etc were given in this direction. By being the elder son of every family, he is giving Rs 1,000 pension to 50 lakh people.
Through ‘Gnana Bhumi’, scholarship amount is being credited to the accounts of poor students directly. Under Chandranna Bima scheme, financial security is being provided to the poor. He said the poor were stating that with the Rs 5-lakh assistance they were doing well. Chandrababu Naidu has held a meeting with Collectors to know the progress of janmabhoomi Programme.
