[ Ссылка ] The British low-cost airline easyJet has doubled its dividend at a time when other airlines are having to make severe cutbacks.
All carriers have been battling high fuel costs, but easyJet's annual results showed it had taken business from its European rivals. It is to pay a 21.5 pence dividend - that is 27 euro cents.
easyJet said it did well on routes to Malaga, Alicante and Faro as Britons escaped wet weather at home in search of some sun.
Gaps in the market have also opened up for low-cost airlines as some competitors stopped flying.
