How can you go from being a freelancer to owning your own agency? What is the key to transitioning from working alone to hiring great people to help you?

I did it my way. And in this video, I’ll share that story with you. On how I slid into freelancing after my studies. And how I gradually added more and more talented people to the company.

If you want to scale your service business, you want to hire people better than you when you have too much work to execute yourself.

I was never the best animator, so I searched for people with great graphic skills, an aesthetic sense, and the will to join a super small company on the rise.

My first freelancers, part-timers, and full-timers were extraordinary at what they did, and that freed me up for marketing more, meeting more clients, and selling them more videos.

My employees animated their explainer videos, while my project manager made sure that deadlines were met, customers were informed and money came in.

I believe my “secret” is to hire slow, grow organically and focus on your best customers—those who love your product, have a budget, and otherwise leave you alone. That’s the truth.

I hope my journey and story inspire you to go after your goal. No matter if that is to scale your freelance business or go from freelancer to agency owner.
