Iran's President has given a television interview just hours before US sanctions will come back into effect.
Iran’s president admonished America, praised his European allies and asked his people for a little more time to fix the country’s economy.
The European Union says it is sticking to the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, despite the US withdrawal.
In a statement, it said it 'deeply regrets' the re-imposition of American sanctions.
