Parts of Laikipia County were named dangerous and disturbed zones as security officers mounted a security operation to rid the area of illegal firearms, and to drive away heavily armed illegal grazers from private farms.
Though relative calm has returned to pockets of troubled Laikipia County, there are still concerns about the security operation that residents claim has been brutal, and which they say might intimidate voters from turning up on Election Day.
