Each Human’s action is contributing to the damage, as collectively heaped on Climate. Nothing is more interconnected than the Climate of Mother Earth – Forest Fires, lowering of water levels in Rivers, draughts, torrential rains – they are everywhere, yet Mankind is yet to wake up that they can be the next to face it! The problem is currently seen as an “Us All” and to bring individual responsibility, it has to shift to a “Me” issue. There are examples of age-old traditions like Indic, Japanese, Balinese & Christian cultures where Environment & Animals hold as sacred a place as God! We need to reinvigorate these practices and today - Climate has to be revered world-wide, in all possible fora, just as much as God is. The Environment narrative has to move from Corporate Boardrooms & Government’s back to the Communities, Spiritual Guru’s, Academia & grass-root organisations. This will lead to the much-needed addition of the “Bottom-up” to the “Top-Down” approach!
