The knowledge of plagiarism is a must for all research scholars, phd supervisors and research paper writers. Realizing the importance of Plagiarism for all authors the video UGC Norms and Penalties for Plagiarism in PhD Thesis (Part 1) was made. The video will have a two more parts dedicated to PhD thesis and Research papers.
This video begins with explaining the concept of intellectual theft or as we know as plagiarism. In the next part of the video Dr Ritika Gauba explains the UGC Regulation related to Plagiarism state. University Grants Commission (UGC), an apex education regulatory body under the Ministry of Education, which regulates all the universities & their affiliated colleges in 2018 came up with the regulation ‘Promotion of Academic Integrity Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions ’.
Dr. Ritika explains the various levels of plagiarism as defined by UGC in these regulations and their respective penalties. These plagiarism norms have to be compulsorily followed by all Ph.D. scholars and universities granting a Ph.D. degree in India.
