Celebrations at the party HQ in Bhopal! BJP is heading towards a massive victory in Madhya Pradesh as per current leads. BJP has won four and is said to be leading in over 157 seats, while Congress is still in double digits as counting remains underway for 230 seats. BJP leader and MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Congress’s Kamal Nath are leading from their constituencies, Budhni and Chhindwara, respectively. Counting of votes for the MP chunav began at 8 am. Among other big names, Kailash Vijayvargiya of BJP is leading from Indore 1 seat, party’s Narottam Mishra is trailing, while Congress’s Jitu Patwari is also trailing.
