Let's learn the basics of the 4 and 5 step approach!
For beginners, often a 4 step approach is easiest to learn as you know that the push-away of the ball starts at the same time as your first step.
With a 5 step approach, the first step is usually very small and helps establish tempo. On the second step, the ball is pushed away from your body. For a right hander, your second step would be with the right leg, as you push the ball away.
