The snow will start to melt, but the bitter chill remains on Thursday. A storm system will swirl over Lake Michigan and lead to very strong winds through the day.
Cedar Rapids Police said they responded to over a dozen crashes prior to 11 pm. One crash has a portion of I-380 closed north of Cedar Rapids.
