Hello YouTube! So today I decided to do something a little different: I wanted to share a typical aerial silks conditioning routine that I use a few times per week (in addition to an aerial silks beginner class I take). Although I definitely wouldn't call this a class or an instructional aerial silks workout video by any means (I'm definitely not comfortable teaching at this point and it is way too dangerous an activity to teach over video), I do invite you to try training like an acrobat, work out with me, and follow along with these (especially) core exercises at home if you can perform them safely and comfortably.
The full work out routine shown in this video includes warming up, floor exercises for core and back, some leg stretches for splits in the cool down section, and, of course, some upper body conditioning for pull-ups and one-arm hangs (gotta build your grip strength!).
I do think some of these moves would make good beginner exercises for the new year if you've set any strength or flexibility goals. If you have, let me know what your goals are for the new year in the comments!
