This is a "brief" (well, 25 minute...) tutorial about how to make useful building instructions with the Lego(TM) digital designer (LDD). The idea is to use LDD's grouping feature and a small python script I made that turns the groups ind steps for the building instructions (BIs). In this way, you can have full control over which parts go into which steps of the instructions.
