Hybrid Capacitor in a New Eco Remote Saved 200 Million Batteries
VINATech’s Hybrid Capacitor was chosen by Samsung as a part of its new eco-friendly TV remote. The new 2022 Samsung Eco Remote was presented at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las-Vegas. CES is one of the biggest high-tech events held every year, where the biggest companies reveal the most advanced technological devices they are going to present to the market in the nearest future.
The New Eco-Friendly Remote eliminates the existing battery by using a solar cell, a charging function of using radio frequency, and a VINATech’s Hybrid Capacitor. The new TV remote charges itself from the radio waves that are emitted by Wi-Fi routers.
Samsung explained that this can save about 200 million batteries that were used in existing remote controls and thrown away. If these batteries were arranged in a line, the distance would be roughly equal to the distance between Las Vegas (USA) and South Korea.
