Good day welcome to my youtube channel seafarmerTV. This video will guide you how to maintain rice plants in flowering stage. In this stage is the most critical time. Monitor the field for insects may damage the flowers causing failure in harvest. The most deadliest insect in my opinion is brown planthopper that kills the rice plant leaves turn to brown and loss of the crop. Brown planthopper is easily to destroy or kill by applying insecticide specifically intended for this insect consult your agri farm supply for guidance. Stemborer for me it is most difficult to destroy or to kill. This insect will fly even you hit with insecticide and not easy to kill. Constantly apply insecticide to kill or destroy eggs turns to larva that will eat the stem of the rice plant and infected flowers come out color brown and it will not product fruit. Other insect such as black bugs, left folders, army worms etc are easily to control at early detection. Use insecticide alternate products to avoid insects to be immune. It is better to buy expensive but effective insecticide rather than to buy cheap but not effective. Invest protect against insecticide than to loss or fail harvest.
