Mediabox spoke to rapporteur George Papandreou (Greece, SOC) about PACE's efforts to help people re-engage in politics and public decision-making, amid dwindling trust in the democratic process.
In a resolution based on his report, PACE has proposed institutionalising participatory and deliberative democracy processes at all levels.
