Facing off against the Labour leader in the Commons, Mrs May made a point of thanking 140 of his MPs who defied him to vote for keeping the nuclear deterrent. She also joked that she was looking forward to clashing with Mr Corbyn - who is facing an attempt to oust him by rebellious MPs - for 'many years to come'. In a devastating assault that left Mr Corbyn visibly flustered, she said: 'In my years here in this House I’ve long heard the Labour party asking what the Conservatives party does for women. It just keeps us Prime Minister.' The session - which was watched by husband Philip from the peers' gallery - came as Mrs May prepares to travel to Berlin later for initial Brexit talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
