Is your little one waking up too early?
There could be five reasons behind it. Firstly, they might be overtired from not getting enough sleep at night or napping too little during the day. This can disrupt their sleep cycle, making it difficult for them to return to sleep. Secondly, teething could be the culprit. Lighter sleep cycles in the early morning, coupled with discomfort from teething, may cause them to wake up and struggle to fall back asleep. Thirdly, motor leaps can also disrupt their sleep. As their brain becomes more active, they may find it challenging to return to sleep after waking up. Environmental factors, such as bright lights, loud noises, or uncomfortable conditions like a wet diaper or feeling too cold, can also disturb their sleep and prevent them from returning to slumber. Lastly, what might have started as one of these issues could turn into a habit. Their body gets used to waking up at a certain time, making it difficult for them to sleep through the night. Understanding these reasons can help you address your little one's early waking and establish healthier sleep habits for both of you.
