The central air compressor went out in my condo after three weeks of moving in. The leasing company gave me an LG portable air conditioner as a temporary replacement. So far, I am impressed. I have been able to use it during 90+ degree weather here in Cincinnati. If I had to get one as the only alternative, I would not have a problem buying one knowing that I could cool a small condo.
