On credible information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), LB Nagar Zone team along with Uppal police busted an interstate drug syndicate by apprehending two interstate drug peddlers viz., 1) Mangi Lal 2) Om Prakash and seized (1.5) Kgs of Contraband Substance Opium, One Honda Activa and Two Mobile Phones and Net Cash Rs. 500/- all w/Rs.12,15,000/- from their possession.

*Brief Facts:-*
As part of proactive action against drug peddlers, a secret information was received by SOT, LB Nagar Zone, Rachakonda busted an interstate drug syndicate. The team so constituted acted swiftly and apprehended two accused persons later identified as Mangi Lal S/o. Mohan Lal, age 22 yrs, Occ. Welding Business, R/o. Gayathri Nagar, Boduppal, Hyderabad. N/o. Punasa Village, Bhinmal Thana, Jalore District, Rajasthan State. & Om Prakash S/o. Bhika Ram, age 26 yrs, Occ. Welding Work, R/o. Gayathri Nagar, Boduppal, Hyderabad. N/o. Shive Mandir Village, Dhorimanna Thana, Barmare District, Rajasthan State. That two persons who are involved in the activity of supplying of illicit Narcotic Contraband Substance, would come near VT Kaman, Uppal Bus Stop, under the limits of Uppal police station to supply contraband substance, at the instance one was handing over a parcel to his other accomplice.
Thereafter, search of abovementioned persons was conducted as per provisions of NDPS Act. During their personal search Contraband Narcotic substance was recovered from their possession. As per testing and physical characteristics, contraband substance was found to be Opium. Total 1.5 Kgs / Substance (Opium) was recovered from the possession of both accused persons. Accordingly, a case under NDPS Act was registered and further investigation taken up.
During interrogation, accused Mangi Lal disclosed that he came in contact with one Rahul R/o. Rajasthan State two years back. He disclosed that Rahul brings contraband substance from Rajasthan to Hyderabad and further supplies in and around area of Hyderabad. He further disclosed that he had procured substance from Rahul R/o Luni District, Rajasthan State to supply to the needy people. Further investigation of the case is in progress. Efforts are on to ascertain the source of the peddlers and to nab other co accused person.
On 07-02-2022 at morning hours the SOT, LB Nagar Zone team along with local police arrested the accused persons at VT Kaman, Uppal Bus Stop and seized (1.5) Kgs of Contraband Substance Opium, One Honda Activa and Two Mobile Phones and Net Cash Rs. 500/- from their possession.
The above arrests were made under the direct supervision of Sri Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Sri G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Rakshita K. Murthy, IPS., Dy. Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Zone and under the guidance of Sri P. Yadagiri, IPS., Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crimes), I/c. Special Operations Team, Rachakonda, Sri. N. Shyam Prasad, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Division, by Sri B. Anji Reddy, Inspector of Police, Sub-Inspectors Sri AA Raju, Md. Thakiuddin, Sri R. Govinda Reddy, Inspector of Police, Uppal police station and staff of Special Operations Team, LB Nagar zone, Rachakonda.
