A 9-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped and forcibly cremated by four men, including the priest of the crematorium where she had gone to get cold water, in South West Delhi’s old Nangal village, Sunday evening. Family members of the girl claim that the priest told them that she died from electrocution at the water cooler and then hastily cremated her without her consent. All that is left of her are her legs and ashes, collected by the police for forensic examination.
