Hi, I'm Dr. Craig Jonov, I'm a board certified cosmetic surgeon and I practice at the Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery in Lynnwood, WA, just north of Seattle. Today, we're going to discuss breast augmentation or breast surgery. The question always becomes of textured vs smooth style of implants and the majority that I do happen to be smooth. They move inside the pocket and rotate. The only difference are the anatomical which are the gummy bear style or the 410s in the Allergan portion which become textured. The reason they are textured tends to allow some attachment so that they don't tend to rotate or move with the pocket dissection to keep them in place. Because they are more of anatomical shape, they tend to stay in that position with that style. So those are the types that I usually use.
