The daughter of prominent U.S. Representatives Hale and Lindy Boggs, Cokie Roberts' future as a nationally recognized congressional reporter was shaped by her upbringing in and around the U.S. Capitol. Ms. Roberts describes the relationship between U.S. Representatives Hale and Lindy Boggs of Louisiana, Speaker Sam Rayburn of Texas, and future President Lyndon Baines Johnson.
