A joint agreement was announced Thursday coming out of a bankruptcy proceeding including the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse.
More than 100 lawsuits filed against the diocese by those claiming to be victims of abuse at the hands of catholic priests, employees and volunteers were settled.
A $100 million trust fund will be distributed to survivors, while insurance payments could ultimately increase that dollar number according to attorneys involved in the settlement.
