We have shared goals and that is to take on terrorists who may be plotting, training in the FATA (Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas), so it is incumbent upon both of us not to let an incident like this or any other interfere with that fundamental shared goal of making sure the FATA is not a refuge for terrorists who may be plotting attacks against the Pakistani government, the United States government, or any of our allies."

STORYLINE
The United States Department of Defence, on Wednesday, released video which, it claimed, showed a disputed airstrike along the Afghan border with Pakistan.
The video was released to AP Television by the Department of Defence and DIVDS (Digital Video Imagery and Distribution System) a government-funded system that the military uses to provide video and imagery to the news media.
AP Television cannot independently verify the date, location or contents of this video.
Speaking at a news conference in Arlington, Virginia, on Wednesday, US Defence Press Secretary Geoff Morrell said the airstrike was legitimate.
"In these early hours after this strike every indication we have is that this was a legitimate strike against forces that had attacked members of the coalition," Morrell told reporters.
Pakistan has strongly condemned the alleged airstrike by the US-led coalition, which the Pakistani army said killed 11 of its paramilitary troops.
The reported airstrike along the volatile Afghan border late on Tuesday followed an alleged clash between Afghan forces and Taliban militants in the same area.
A purported spokesman for the Taliban said eight of its fighters died in the incident.
Pakistan's army and the US military have given widely differing accounts of the incident.
US officials said three aircrafts launched about a dozen bombs against insurgents attacking into Afghanistan from the Pakistan border.
The Pentagon said it was too early to say whether the airstrike killed the Pakistani troops, as claimed by Pakistan's army, although the US Embassy in Islamabad expressed regret over the deaths.
However, a spokesman for Pakistan's army rejected the claim that insurgents attacked from inside Pakistan or from the direction of the Pakistani border post.
