Kris Jenkins will go down in NCAA history after draining the game winning three point buzzer beater to win Villanova the championship. Moments before, UNC guard Marcus Paige sank one of the most difficult looking shots to tie the game at 74 points each, but Villanova head coach Jay Wright had been practicing for this exact scenario for a long time. Ryan Arcidiacono brought the ball up with five seconds remaining and once the double team came he found a trialing Jenkins, Jim Nantz called it as it is “FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP!”. The internet had a blast with the win, given that Michael Jordan was in attendance for the game, there was no shortage of MJ crying memes.
