Former D.C. Mayor Anthony Williams talked about how the challenges his administration faced compare with the challenges current mayor is facing. Williams said there are big differences between now and then. In particular, he said the city has replaced an incentive economy with a demand economy, with many people wanting to invest in the city's infrastructure. But Williams urged city officials to promote tourism and not rely on federal funding. "The future isn't as bright as it's been in the past," Williams said.
