13 October is the International Day for Disaster Reduction. This year the theme of the Day aligns with the Target "c" of the Sendai Framework, the global plan to reduce disaster losses by 2030. It aims at reducing disaster economic losses which continue to increase due to more frequent and severe weather-related disasters.
