Unite Students has reached a major milestone in the construction of its 271-bed property in Nottingham.
Bromley Place, due to open for the start of the 2023/24 academic year, has successfully had its roof level built, completing the property's super structure.
Located in the city centre, the development, which has estimated costs of £34million, incorporates an existing late-Victorian, three-story building. The former Argos store will be repaired and repurposed, preserving the historic features from the original site.
This is the company’s first new-build property designed for postgraduate students. It will include newly designed bedrooms, which include bathroom pods with larger showers, and host impressive amenity and study space, including a roof terrace.
Project manager, Adrian Muir, said: “Today represents the topping out of Bromley Place, in that we've now achieved the completion of the super structure. The team has gathered, collected as one to appreciate and celebrate the fact we've made this landmark on time and on programme. It's a great achievement.
“This will represent the first postgraduate targeted scheme for Unite Students.”
