Sitting in analysis, trying to be something better than this,
digging deep to find that man I always wanted to be.
But I get stuck on this bed of stones
and it’s as far as I can go
and it stands there between my bones and my soul.

One day it’s gonna come as I sit here talking to you
And as my bank account shrinks

Sitting in a yoga pose, trying hard not to scratch my nose
Breathing deep to find that stillness that I know is inside of me
But I get distracted by my thoughts, they’re like flies when they attack
And I do my best to focus and bring it all back.

And I wait, for that breakthrough
If I keep chipping away, I know it’s gonna come soon
And I’ll watch my ego shrink, then maybe everything will be ok. Maybe everything will be ok.

Sitting with my friend Satish, you know he’s the kind of guy I wish I could be more like
Cause he travels light and he’s always wearing a peaceful smile
And he says “be careful on your quest to higher ground, don’t forget, the reason you were sent here was to have a good time.”

So don’t wait for that breakthrough
Cause nothing’s gonna from if you’re just sitting alone in a room
And your time on earth just shrinks
So remember this whole thing is just a game
And the one thing I forgot to do was play.
