Yogyakarta, Java was our favourite city we visited in Indonesia! There is so much to do and see and eat and visit! We spent our first day in Yogyakarta (or Jogyakarta) visiting the Sultans Palace & the old Water Castle, called Taman Sari. We were astounded by the beautiful Traditional Javanese Ballet - the costumes of the dancers and their precise movements and the Gamelan Music make it so beautiful to watch! We also got to see batik artists at work and hear all about the process, which is really interesting, and another traditional unique in Indonesia to Yogyakarta. In the evening we headed to the South Square Park where locals gather to eat, listen to music, chill and have a whole load of fun! Yogyakarta is so much fun!
