Only 4 ingredients! Easy Peda recipe without condensed milk.No Milk Powder. In this Recipe, I have used Khoya/Mawa, Sugar, Elachi(Cardamom) and Saffron Milk.
You could also make these Kesar Mawa Pedas as Prashad for offering or bhog or just to eat at home. This recipe is easy to make and I enjoy making them. This Peda can be enjoyed during festivals like Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Diwali. These will definitely make your festival a memorable one!
The texture of Peda is soft and very creamy and I have garnished it with chopped almonds. You can use chopped cashews or chopped pictachios, they would give a very good contrast to Kesar Mawa Peda.

MAWA PEDA I KESAR MAWA PEDA I HOW TO MAKE KESAR MAWA/KHOYA PEDA (without condensed milk/ without milk powder)
WHAT YOU WILL NEED :
– Mawa – 125 gms (Grated 1 cup)
– Sugar powder – ¼ cup
– Elaichi/ Cardamom – 3-4 (powdered)
– Kesar/Saffron strands dissolved in lukewarm milk – 2 tsp.
Method:
In one kadhai add , mawa and elachi/ cardamom powder and cook it until the mawa becomes like a dough. It should take around 2-3 minutes.
After the mawa is cooked, transfer it to a flat surface. Allow it cool down, till it becomes warm. When the mixture is warm, add saffron milk and powdered sugar to the mawa mixture. Mix well.
Now keep it aside for 30 mins, Now you will see sugar is dissolved completely and the mixture is not at all sticky. to make peda, take a tablespoon and spoon out equal proportions. I have made 6 pedas from 125 gm of mawa!
once the scooped potions are ready, just roll it in ball and gently flatten them to give the shape of peda.
now press it in centre of peda with finger and add chopped almonds or pitachios. i like to place saffron strand, making it look they look so beautiful n divine.
