Dough:
300 grams flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
130 grams butter
130 grams sugar
1 package vanilla sugar (OR one teaspoon vanilla)
1 egg
Nut topping:
100 grams butter
100 grams sugar
100 grams ground hazelnuts
100 grams coarsely chopped hazelnuts
1 package vanilla sugar (or one teaspoon vanilla)
2 tablespoons water
You will also need 1 cup jam: I used apricot which is traditional but you can substitute.
You will also need chocolate. Melt and dip the corners. I used semi-sweet chocolate. You can use unsweetened or any type of chocolate chip (melted)
Bake at 350 for 25 - 40 minutes, depending on your oven. In my oven it took 40 minutes and then a few minutes on broil until the topping is bubbling and golden. Let cool and then cut into squares. Cut the squares diagonally to create the triangles. Dip one corner in melted chocolate and let cool. Store in a tin (separate the layers with wax or parchment paper so they do not stick to each other) in a cool place. Enjoy!
