In this Game Maker Minecraft 2D Tutorial I'll show you how to make your blocks drop items when they get destroyed.

I'm so excited to upload the next tutorial! I found a way for the perfect inventory system! But it's really going to take some time! I do know that the first part is going to be about the gui(bar) you see in the real Minecraft, we're you can collect blocks and place them from there. Later we will add the 'E' for Inventory where you can craft some torches, sticks, wooden planks and that kinda stuff. Than we will also add armor (and to do that we also need to add health and hunger). So that's not scheduled yet. That's why i can only say that the next part will be about the gui(bar)!! But hey; that's a start though!
NOTE: I created a Destroy Event in this tutorial, you can also just set the content of the destroy event in our alarm[0] event of obj_break
