(11 Nov 2019) Turkey-backed Syrian militias clashed with Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces outside the town of Tal Tamr on Monday.
While a ceasefire is supposed to be in place, the Kurds have said the Turkish side has consistently failed to respect it.
Turkey meanwhile said not all Kurdish fighters have withdrawn from the 30-kilometre deep "security zone" along the Syria-Turkey border as stipulated by the agreement.
Turkey and its Syrian militia began their operation in Syria on October 9 to dislodge Kurdish fighters they see as linked to a Kurdish insurgency in eastern Turkey.
A later agreement between the US and Turkey provided for Kurdish withdrawal from the border zone.
