Farmers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were in dilemma on crop loans waiver scheme. RBI opposes crop loan waiver and said that they would have no objection, if the state government was willing to reimburse the entire loan dues in cash. RBI also opposed rescheduling of crop loans as it feels that farmers are not effected in phailin toofan.
