The Meeting of the Waters, the confluence of the Rio Negro and the Solimoes in Brazil, where it becomes the Amazon River proper (depending on who you ask). The acidic, tannin-rich black water of the Negro and the more alkali mineral-rich white water of the Solimoes stay separate for quite a while after meeting up. It also is way hotter on the white water than the black, from the reflected sunlight, and for some reason the water gets choppier after you go onto the white. Enjoy!
