These Chum Salmon are brutes and one of the hardest fighting fish in fresh water. Reel screaming runs and surface breaking leaps. These fish give up for nothing and will put your tackle to the test. I hooked this one while fishing for coho and he put my Medium Action Ugly Stik Elite and Piscifun Honor Spinning reel with 20 pound Power Pro braid to the test. It was an awesome battle and once he hunkered down I couldn't pull him off the bottom. I put the gears to him and pulled so hard I pulled the hook out eventually. What a great battle on a light set up. These Piscifun Reels take the abuse well. Still working great so far!

Hey everyone, I’m Brandon the Host and Creator of this channel. I started making videos back when YouTube was created in 2006 and increasingly posted more fishing content until 2013 when I named my Channel “The Fishing Doctors Adventures”. Some people ask me why and I tell them, “Because I’m a Medical Doctor who loves going on Fishing Adventures!” I try to fish where ever I go and I am always trying to expand my boarders. Right now most of my time is spent In British Columbia and Alberta, Canada. I also have many videos from California when I lived there and have spent some time fishing Idaho, Saskatchewan, Mexico and the Pacific Ocean. I fish from whatever I can whether it be Ice fishing and all the way to out on the ocean in my kayak. Lakes, rivers, streams, sloughs, oceans…. Where ever the fish are found I will be in search of them. I make the videos because I enjoy capturing my days on the water an sharing with others. I also share a lot of tips that I have learned over the years in these videos and my goal is to help new and experienced fishermen catch more fish while out on the water!
