I just set up my observation hive and decided to just pull a split from another hive. I took only a frame of 1 day old eggs with all the bees on it (minus the queen) and another frame containing honey and pollen. The queen just emerged and she a few attendants are tearing up the other queen cells in the hive before she goes out on her mating flights. It took them a few hours to puncture through this cell and drag the queen larva out. So, I didn't get all of the video, but this should give you an idea of what often goes on.
