President Rodrigo #Duterte formed a task force to rehabilitate #ManilaBay, which was heavily polluted. On 19 February, Duterte signed Admin No 16 to designate the Secretary of the Environment as Chair and Vice-Chairs to the Interior and Tourism Secretaries. The Task Force members shall be empowered to implement the country sanitation code to ensure that Manila Bay is completely rehabilitated, restored and protected. The massive cleanup of the bay is expected to bring drastic change in its polluted waters within at least 6 months.
